Halo-Halo
Halo-Halo is a popular Filipino dessert made with a colorful combination of sweetened fruits, beans, jellies, and shaved ice topped with creamy evaporated milk, leche flan, ube halaya, and a scoop of ice cream. Refreshing, creamy, and packed with different textures and flavors, Halo-Halo is the perfect cold treat for hot days and special occasions.

Ingredients
1 cup shaved ice
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup sweetened red beans
1/4 cup sweetened white beans
1/4 cup nata de coco
1/4 cup kaong (sugar palm fruit)
1/4 cup sweetened jackfruit, sliced
1/4 cup sweetened banana, sliced
1/4 cup ube halaya
2 tbsp sugar (optional)
2 scoops ube or vanilla ice cream
2 slices leche flan
Directions
- Prepare two tall glasses or serving bowls for the Halo-Halo.
- Layer the sweetened beans, nata de coco, kaong, jackfruit, and sweetened banana at the bottom of each glass.
- Add a spoonful of ube halaya on top of the sweetened ingredients.
- Fill each glass generously with shaved ice.
- Pour evaporated milk over the shaved ice. Add sugar if desired.
- Top each serving with a slice of leche flan and a scoop of ice cream.
- Serve immediately and mix all the ingredients together before enjoying your delicious and refreshing Halo-Halo!
