Potato Chips
Potato Chips are crispy, golden slices of potato that are thinly sliced and fried until crunchy. Lightly seasoned with salt, these homemade chips are simple to prepare and make a delicious snack for any occasion. Serve them on their own or pair them with your favorite dip for an extra flavorful treat.

Ingredients
4 medium potatoes, peeled
3 cups cooking oil, for frying
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper (optional)
1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
Directions
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them very thinly and evenly using a sharp knife or mandoline slicer.
- Place the potato slices in a bowl of cold water and soak for 10–15 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain the potatoes and pat them completely dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
- Heat the cooking oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Carefully add the potato slices in small batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry for 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the slices become golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the chips from the oil and drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
- While still warm, sprinkle with salt, ground black pepper, or paprika if desired.
- Allow the chips to cool for a few minutes so they become extra crisp.
